Syllable Jigsaws

Pictures of 2/3/4 syllable words

Cut the pictures into the same number of pieces as there are syllables in the word. E.g. 'elephant' has 3 syllables so cut it into 3 pieces.

Explain to the child that as s/he does the jigsaw he must say the syllables. Say a syllable for each puzzle piece, then push the pieces together and say the whole word.
