Nearly 25,000 children in the UK and more than 50,000 children globally are supported using materials from the Commtap website during the course of a year.

Using the initial results of our recent survey and data that we collect on how many people use the site we can make a good estimate as to how many children are supported using the website.

Average number of children supported by regular visitors to the site

So far we have had 46 people responding to the survey of the use of Commtap. 28 of them use the site at least once a month. Each one supports on average 18 children using resources from the site.

Regular visitors to the site looking at communication resources

Over 50,000 different people visited the site between October 2013 and October 2014, of these just over 3,000 visit regularly (more than 9 times in the year) to look at communication resources. It is reasonable to assume that this group broadly matches the group of people in the survey who use the site regularly. This allows us to estimate that around 54,000 children are being supported using the site.
