News from Commtap

Dear Anonymous

Just a quick note to let you know of a couple of things happening at Commtap.

Commtap Symboliser for PowerPoint

We are shortly going to launch the Commtap Symboliser for PowerPoint and wil be showing it at the TES SEN Show in London on 6th and 7th October.

The Commtap Symboliser for PowerPoint allows you to symbolise text and make communication grids right within PowerPoint:

  • symbolise words in text boxes easily (just click a button and the picture appears above or below the text);
  • use free symbol sets, symbol sets you have purchased, or make your own sets (e.g. class photos);
  • add symbols to class resources you already have in PowerPoint;
  • make complete communication pages for printing out;
  • get all the power and versatility of PowerPoint plus you can symbolise;
  • easily share your symbol resources – the people you share them with don't need anything special to open them (just PowerPoint or a program that can open PowerPoint files).

Updating the site

We are planning on updating the free communication resources site (commtap.org) - and to finally make it mobile friendly. If there are any features on the site you particularly like, or anything that's a bit confusing - please do let us know as that would help us a lot when we start the re-development.

Best wishes

The Commtap Team
