Commtap for Professionals (Free Online Training)

!! Support Commtap's free resources !!

It costs money to run a free website: our server costs alone are £400 per month. Last year we had 40,000 visitors to the site from whom we received only £40 in donations. We are not currently receiving any other income. At this rate, we will run out of money in the next few months and the site will be forced to close.

Please make a minimum donation of £5 to keep the site going. Thank you

  • Do you or your team provide ideas to other professionals such as teaching assistants, teachers or centre workers ... or to parents/carers?
  • Do these ideas end up getting buried on someone's computer/the team's shared drive/in a pile of paper somewhere? ...or perhaps they don't even get written down?
  • Would you like your ideas to be immediately accessible to those you work with at any time?
  • Would you like your ideas to be automatically included in a scale of communication level so that they can be easily found again?

In this two hour workshop, we will guide you and your team through doing this using Commtap. You will:

  • See how scales such as the P-levels, former National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation scales link in with communication (as appropriate for your team).
  • Discussion on using scales following recent changes in UK government policy.
  • Create material on the site - which you can keep in your own personal area on the site or share across the site.
  • See how you can create communication activities sheets which will be associated with your team.
