Encouraging Requests for Commtap Training/Intro  

Things you can say and do to encourage colleagues to request Commtap training and/or a general introduction to the site!

  1. Commtap is FREE!
  2. Commtap is fast becoming the resource base for the profession
  3. I have set up training for teachers and TAs in schools and had very positive feedback
  4. Attach Commtap leaflets to school IEPs or reports where Commtap is mentioned or indicated for a target
  5. Explain how Commtap makes it easy to find targets and activities in EYFS or KS1 or KS2
  6. Mention that Commtap is pegged to the EYFS levels, the P-levels and the National Curriculum so it is easy find an appropriate target and and activity for the child you are working with
  7. Commtap is written in plain English and uses stuff generally found in schools
  8. TA's can use Commtap to search independently for activities once they have been given guidance about the correct target areas to search in
  9. Commtap training is very modestly priced – or maybe free if it is part of your normal work day e.g staff room training
